Due to the widespread use of Fritzbox in Germany, we still provide instructions for our different product groups: Setting up a Snom Device on a Fritzbox. The Fritzbox is not officially supported by us, because it is a consumer product with only limited VoIP functionality. As an end customer you usually have nothing to do with this process, so there remain the first two points to customize your phone. Usually a " net power" is indicated on the devices, or rather in the data sheets of the network PoE switches. Please note, however, that in addition to the wattage required by the phones, you also need some power to operate the PoE switch. So if I have 10 x D785 this results in 10 x 13 Watt = 130 Watt. Here is an example: 1 D785 has PoE class 3, which equals 12.95 watts, rounded 13 watts. Which PoE class your phone has can be found in our comparison list. Based on the PoE class (Snom uses PoE classes 1,2 and 3) you can first determine the maximum wattage of your used phones and then simply multiply it by the number of units and you have the desired result. The required wattage can be calculated very easily. If you want to connect your Snom desk phone using PoE, you need a network switch with PoE function and a wattage corresponding to the amount of connected phones. Since we assume standard use of PoE technology, we generally do not include power supplies with our devices.
